Season in progress
Essays on work, identity, and orientation for people whose story changed faster than the structures around them.
Previously on
Increasingly, the answer has to be renegotiated over and over. Roles change, organizations disappear, and expertise gets cheaper. If identity hangs too heavily on structures like these, every change outside becomes a crisis inside.
New Season | Now Streaming is a publication about that problem and the many adjacent ones. It covers technology, medicine, AI, faith, creativity, attention, aging, and the occasional absurdity of modern professional life. The topics vary, but the question running through them is the same: how do you change without losing continuity with yourself?

Understand what is happening before deciding what to do.
Simplicity

The territory
[Placeholder] A few of the recurring questions these essays, and the private conversations, keep returning to.
What persists when titles, employers, and roles change.
When profession stops answering the questions it used to.
Knowing who you are, and still needing to know where you are.
The quiet cost of re-proving who you are, again and again.
Clarity with fidelity: complication removed, reality kept.
Every essay is a different angle on the same question.
A vocation does not have to be permanent to be worthwhile. A season can be valuable without being the final season.
Private conversations
It might be a professional crossroads, a role that no longer fits, or a problem you can't quite name yet. I take on a small number of private conversations each season to help experienced people make sense of where they are, what still holds true, and what deserves attention next.
There's no sign-up form, no intake funnel, and no newsletter list attached. You write to one person, and the conversation stays between us.
Write to me privatelyWhat this is not
Not therapy, treatment, coaching, or job placement, and not a promise of a particular outcome. It is a thinking partnership: you stay the author of your next season, and the problem becomes better understood.
Essays arrive when they're ready. Some have a lesson, and some are simply interesting.
